This is some videos and pictures of the ACA Christmas program. In the spotlight is "Dudes a Plenty", the greatest boy band on earth (myself, Scholma, Wojo, Triemstra, DeKock and Smith). Enjoy.
Just in case you were wondering what I've been doing with my time here these last few weeks, here's an update! First, when we moved into our house, one thing that was immediately apparent was that our Master Bedroom was about 10 or 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house at night. This made sleeping, and especially getting into bed rather uncomfortable. As I've mentioned, the Master Bedroom was an addition that the original builder built for his mother in law, so it is the only room in the house that does not have basement underneath. The problem was, I had no idea where the access to the crawlspace was. Then, one day, I was in the bathroom down stairs, doing what you do in a bathroom, and I noticed a funny looking panel on the wall that just didn't seem quite right for where it was. I then saw heavily painted over screws. EUREKA! The access to the crawl space! Upon inspection, here is what I found. Basically nothing. Not one shred of insulation, no insulation on t...
Ok, so it has been a preposterously long time since we last updated this thing. My main excuse is that, as we did not have our own house to live in, I couldn't update as I didn't want to put a bunch of pictures on my in-laws computer, but if I'm honest with myself, I was just being lazy. But here it is! Rejoice, masses, for the Andersons have returned to the internet! So the last time we updated, we had just returned from a nice vacation to Michigan for Tracie's wedding. While we were there, Stephanie applied for jobs, since the odds of me retaining my job at ACA were diminishing by the day (although to this day I have not received official notice of my termination, although it is clearly assumed). Well, she got it, and so two weeks after she got the job we were packed up and heading back to Michigan, for good. But, before we left, our friends and various social circles held farewell parties for us. This was the general 'friends' party at the Wojo's house. I...
Having decided to make a fashionably late entrance, the baby has finally decided to grace us with her presence! Oh, but there has to be a little bit more anticipation than that! On the 4th of July, Steph and I decided to take a somewhat risky (given her condition) trip to Muskegon, MI to visit the Johnson clan. It proved to be a beautiful trip. While we waited for lunch at Grandma's, Stephanie and I went to the channel to enjoy the beautiful weather and watch all the boats. Can you tell that Steph is eight days overdue? Stephanie wanted a picture of me, so I took this self portrait. I think it captures my 'essence' quite well! After a delicious lunch, and some baby talk with Jessie and Jeremiah (who had their baby June 20...congrats guys!!), everyone headed over to Diane and Dave's for some swimming in the lake! Then, on Tuesday, I took a risky trip to Detroit to pick up some molding I won in an auction. Yep, left my wife, who was 10 days overdue, on a two hour (each wa...
