Kevin&Stephanie

We had a great Thanksgiving, and we hope you all did too. We went to church this morning, and sang all the great Thanksgiving hymns and had a great message. After church, we headed up to the home of Travis and Melissa Lemm in Running Springs. Travis and Melissa had both sets of parents, family friends, and 4 other couples (including us) over to celebrate together. We shared a wonderful meal, and then the guys watched football and girls played games and talked. Although it would have been nice to see family, this was pretty good too. We are so thankful for all of our family and friends. God bless you all It was beautifully chill and cloudy in the mountains. The clouds rolled in like waves in the afternoon.

I have to say that I am quite obsessed with Stephenie Meyer's books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse , and Breaking Dawn . They are REALLY good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the new movie of Twilight . I'd recommend it! I want to see it again :)

November 13 we hosted small group. It was also Mike Poortenga's birthday (see picture above). To celebrate, I (Stephanie) made him a cake, which we all enjoyed! Kevin turned 25 on November 18. I gave him an Adrian Peterson Jersey - to his delight! Kevin opened his presents from his parents while talking to them on the phone. I also made Kevin a cake (this one has peanut-butter frosting). We had some people over to help eat it. That's a lot of candles! Happy Birthday Kevin!

We would like to wish a happy birthday to our friend Becca (pictured 2 posts ago) and Stephanie's cousin Shawn. Tommorrow is Stephanie's brother Derek's 14th birthday. Happy Birthday Derek! We hope it's a good one. :) Also of note: last night and this morning it rained!!! I think it was the first rain since May. We were so exited. Today was a nice partly-cloudy day in the 70s. We hope it stays on the cooler side now. No more 90 degree (or higher) days please!
