life goes on

Life's been pretty steady this summer. It's been pleasant, but nothing too exciting to share, so here's a bunch of randomness...

Aundrea really likes her baths. She doesn't ever want to get out, even when all the water is gone.

She is climbing all over the furniture, and is extremely active.
We went to Ludington and camped with Kevin's family for a few days. Aundrea enjoyed flinging sand all over.

We tried to go to the Ionia Free Fair again this year, but we walked over and discovered it had been shut down early, due to flooding.

Aundrea continues to have a big-time sweet tooth, and LOVEs licking beaters/mixers. Yes, I know raw eggs are a danger, but let the kid live a little!

nothing better than a face full of brownie batter!

Here's a picture of our resident woodchuck in our driveway. His life is safe thus far, but if he digs into the garden, it's over!

Aundrea really enjoys technology - particularly phones. She has her own blackberry (broken), and we don't even have a cell phone (0ther than our pay-as-you-go simple phone for emergencies!)

The last sunday in August, we finally celebrated Aundrea's birthday with the VerMerris side of the family (along with Tracie, Elijah, Kevin VM, TJ and Jenn's birthdays).

Keaton and Aundrea were cute on the swing together.

Aundrea got her first experience swimming in a pool. She liked it, but the air wasn't very warm, so she got chilly quick.

That same Sunday, after the party, we drove to Kevin's parents' home in Erie,PA. While there, we visited Wintergreen Gorge again. It was beautiful, but I slipped and hurt myself (and got wet), so that kinda put a damper on the experience. Worn out flip flops + wet, slimy slate rock in the river = bad news.

Here I am climbing a rope up a small waterfall

It's called a gorge for a reason....

Kevin and I took a side-trip along a contributing stream, while Aundrea played in the water with Grandma

Back at home, Aundrea models the dress that Grandma Anderson made for her birthday. She got a lot of compliments at church in that dress today!

Yes, and in case you didn't know, Aundrea is walking well now. She still falls a lot, but she doesn't seem to mind.
